Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Supplier Performance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by working closely with suppliers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess new suppliers and processes to ensure successful implementation and control of advanced technologies.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve delivery performance.
  • Lead supplier engagements and surveillance activities, including quality-related discussions and audits.
  • Develop and execute corrective action plans to address quality issues and improve supplier performance.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of products.
  • Develop and maintain quality-related documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and reports.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure quality awareness and compliance among internal teams and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field with a minimum of 12 years of related experience in quality assurance, microelectronics, electrical engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a master's degree in a STEM-related field; 7 years with a PhD in a STEM-related field.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Manufacturing engineering experience in PWB/PCB fabrication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Experience in leading teams and projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Defense industry working experience.
  • Six Sigma or Lean concept.
  • Certificate in IPC600 and IPC6012.
  • Solid understanding of complex HDI and HDBU lamination and micro via structures.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor.
