At Infra-Rec, we are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our transmission construction division as the Executive Director of Transmission Infrastructure. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of large-scale transmission construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for transmission construction projects in alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of directors, project managers, engineers, and construction professionals to drive excellence in construction practices.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the construction division.
- Project Management
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of transmission construction projects, from conceptual design through project closeout, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
- Monitor and manage project risks, resolving issues that arise during the course of construction.
- Operational Excellence
- Drive operational efficiency by implementing best practices, optimizing resource allocation, and leveraging new technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards.
- Oversee contract negotiations, vendor management, and procurement activities related to transmission construction.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, utility companies, community groups, and other external stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and other public forums.
- Financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the transmission construction division, ensuring financial performance, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased profitability without compromising quality or safety.
- Innovation & Sustainability
- Promote the adoption of innovative construction methodologies and sustainable practices to advance the company's strategic objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to keep the company at the forefront of the transmission construction industry.
- Lead initiatives to integrate renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly practices into transmission projects.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the transmission or power infrastructure sector.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex transmission construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems, substation construction, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Financial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
