Job Summary

At Infra-Rec, we are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our transmission construction division as the Executive Director of Transmission Infrastructure. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and management of large-scale transmission construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategy
    • Develop and implement the overall strategy for transmission construction projects in alignment with company goals and objectives.
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of directors, project managers, engineers, and construction professionals to drive excellence in construction practices.
    • Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the construction division.
  • Project Management
    • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of transmission construction projects, from conceptual design through project closeout, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.
    • Monitor and manage project risks, resolving issues that arise during the course of construction.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Drive operational efficiency by implementing best practices, optimizing resource allocation, and leveraging new technologies to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as industry standards.
    • Oversee contract negotiations, vendor management, and procurement activities related to transmission construction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, utility companies, community groups, and other external stakeholders to build and maintain strong relationships.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and other public forums.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage the annual budget for the transmission construction division, ensuring financial performance, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased profitability without compromising quality or safety.
  • Innovation & Sustainability
    • Promote the adoption of innovative construction methodologies and sustainable practices to advance the company's strategic objectives.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes to keep the company at the forefront of the transmission construction industry.
    • Lead initiatives to integrate renewable energy sources and environmentally friendly practices into transmission projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the transmission or power infrastructure sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex transmission construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage transmission systems, substation construction, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a focus on collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
