Position Overview

Dietz Property Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Assistant Director of Community Management to support the leadership of a residential multifamily property.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Assistant Director of Community Management, you will oversee the accurate reporting of resident accounts, execute month-end closing tasks, and generate month-end financial reports. Additionally, you will be tasked with collecting, processing, and documenting monthly charges and other income streams.

KEY DUTIES: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining organized filing systems for the property
  • Delivering exceptional service to residents
  • Preparing necessary re-certification and lease renewal documents, and facilitating on-site social events for residents
  • Ensuring the office and community spaces are well-maintained
  • Executing marketing initiatives and coordinating the monthly property newsletter

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands of this position require regular communication and interaction. The role involves standing, sitting, and walking, with the need to frequently lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds.

WORKING HOURS: This is a full-time position with varying hours based on property needs, typically following a Monday to Friday schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Leasing Consultant, including at least 1 year in a supervisory leasing role
  • Strong communication skills to foster positive relationships with residents
  • Organizational skills to maintain a professional office environment
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Word, Excel, Windows, Internet, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Real Page, MRI, Yardi, etc.)
  • Attention to detail for accurate financial record-keeping
  • A strong commitment to customer service, adaptability, results-driven mindset, and a positive attitude
