In this position, you will collaborate with our back-end development team to enhance existing server code in production and design and implement new code modules and microservices. • Creating and managing API handlers utilizing a range of technologies (including gRPC and REST).
  • Developing and sustaining integrations with multiple SQL and NoSQL databases (like Elastic and Redis).
  • Collaborating with the team to devise dynamically scalable and parallelizable solutions.
  • Continuously refactoring existing back-end code to enhance scalability and usability.
  • Documenting processes and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Taking the initiative to swiftly prototype new solutions in response to evolving challenges.
  • Engaging in discussions and collaboration on potential solutions with team members.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Python 3 development.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering systems with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience in API development.
  • Experience in leading or mentoring junior engineers.
  • Willingness and eligibility to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance or higher.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Familiarity with Python packages such as FastAPI, requests, asyncio, flask, Tornado, or similar.
  • Experience with Golang.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch.
  • Experience in React or Vue 3.
  • Experience with gRPC development.
  • Experience in architecting for deployment in cloud environments such as AWS or MS Azure, as well as bare metal.
  • Experience in automated test development and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • Experience using Jira in a development workflow.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience in hybrid work settings.
  • Experience in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain and maintain a government security clearance up to TS/SCI.
