Position Overview:
Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a leading refiner and distributor of petroleum products, is currently seeking applications for the role of Terminal Operator at our asphalt terminal. This role involves working with various petroleum products and managing all operational facets of a terminal. The Terminal Operator plays a vital role in enhancing life’s possibilities by blending, distributing, and delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently.
This position is primarily based at a designated location, but may require flexibility to cover additional sites as business needs arise. The work schedule may consist of a 4- or 5-day workweek or shift work, depending on operational requirements. Availability for call-outs and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be necessary. Continuous training will be provided to enhance job-related skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate collaboration, reliability, motivation, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on truck loading equipment and other terminal machinery.
- Conduct sampling and laboratory analysis of petroleum products.
- Gauge and monitor storage tanks.
- Facilitate the shipment and receipt of petroleum products via pipeline and/or barge/ship.
- Engage in physical activities such as stair climbing and lifting, often in outdoor environments.
- Prepare and submit terminal operational reports.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to acquire basic computer skills.
- Proficiency in basic arithmetic and record-keeping.
- Willingness to learn about mechanical and electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or vocational training.
- Experience in process operations, maintenance, or the petroleum sector.
