Position Overview:
Marathon Petroleum Company LP, a leading refiner and distributor of petroleum products, is seeking candidates for the role of Terminal Operator at our Asphalt terminal. This position involves working with various petroleum products and managing all operational functions of a terminal. Your role is vital in enhancing life’s possibilities by blending, distributing, and delivering high-quality products safely and efficiently.
This role will be assigned to a primary location, but flexibility to work at other sites may be required based on business needs. The work schedule may consist of a 4- or 5-day workweek or shift work as necessary. Availability for call-outs and overtime, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be expected. Continuous training will be provided to enhance job-related skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate collaboration, reliability, motivation, and a strong commitment to safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on truck loading racks and other terminal equipment.
- Perform sampling and laboratory analysis of petroleum products.
- Gauge storage tanks accurately.
- Assist in the shipment and receipt of petroleum products via pipeline and/or barge/ship.
- Engage in physical activities such as stair climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted, and up to 100 pounds with assistance, often in outdoor settings.
- Prepare and submit terminal reports as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Willingness to learn basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and maintain accurate records.
- Capability to understand mechanical and electrical systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or vocational training.
- Prior experience in process operations, maintenance crafts, or the petroleum industry.
