Job Title: SDC Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SDC Teacher to join our team at FutureRecruit. As a key member of our educational team, you will play a vital role in assessing, designing, and implementing positive behavioral intervention plans that support the needs of our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Work collaboratively with our educational team to assess, design, and implement positive behavioral intervention plans that meet the unique needs of our students.
  • Behavioral Intervention: Develop, implement, and evaluate effective behavioral interventions that encompass data collection, program development, monitoring, and report writing.
  • Professional Development: Provide high-quality in-service programs for classroom staff, administrators, other professionals, and parents to enhance their knowledge and skills in behavioral intervention and support.
  • Consultation and Support: Provide consultation and support to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and parents to ensure that our students receive the best possible support and services.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess various skill domains, including communication, self-help, play, social, cognitive, and behavioral repertories, to determine strengths and deficit areas.
  • Resource and Support: Serve as a resource and support to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, other professionals, and parents to ensure that our students receive the best possible support and services.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop effective working relationships with students, teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, other professionals, and parents to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Curriculum Adaptation: Implement various communication systems and methodologies, including Applied Behavior Analysis theories and techniques, to adapt curriculum plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare, maintain, and analyze comprehensive reports, records, and files related to assigned activities and personnel.
  • Program Oversight: Provide oversight to the instructional program for students in the Autism Special Day Classes.
  • Early Intervention: Design and monitor early intervention programs for students with autism.
  • Support Staff Supervision: Assist in the supervision of support staff (paraprofessionals) within the Autism Program.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's Degree and/or equivalent experience in applied Behavioral Sciences, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Speech-Language Pathology, or mental health-related fields.
  • Credentialing: Possession of a valid California credential authorizing services in one of the following areas: Mild/Moderate Disabilities with an autism authorization or Moderate/Severe Disabilities.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years successful experience in the assessment, planning, and implementation of positive behavioral interventions for individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Individuals with Disabilities Act and the IEP process, Developmental disabilities and handicapping conditions, and Typical and atypical child development.
