Project Manager I Job Summary

As a Project Manager I at Duke Energy, you will be responsible for managing and executing projects to ensure successful outcomes. This role involves overseeing all phases of project planning and execution, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute projects from initiation to closure
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, including project sponsors, team members, and external partners
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
  • Monitor and report on project progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or project management
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder engagement
