Sourcing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Sourcing Manager to join our team at GPAC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and sourcing high-quality pet food ingredients and materials for our finished products.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive supplier performance. You will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in direct sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source pet food ingredients and other raw materials for products, including researching, evaluating, and negotiating with vendors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials.
- Manage the development and implementation of processes to ensure compliance to pet product sourcing standards.
- Develop and manage the budget for pet product sourcing.
- Ensure that pet product sourcing activities meet all relevant regulatory and safety compliance standards.
- Monitor pet product market trends and pricing to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Prepare and provide detailed reports on pet product purchasing activities to senior management.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of pet ingredient and material products.
Job Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in direct sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or a related field.
- Knowledge of pet food/feed industry and sourcing processes.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to drive supplier performance.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bilingual with English and Spanish.
