About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform HVAC planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, working closely with Building Engineers to ensure seamless operations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and building automation controls, utilizing your expertise to resolve complex issues.
  • Document work activities and other related tasks, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Support Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and other duties as assigned or required by the scope of work.
  • Ensure the safety, health, and well-being of yourself and your team, adhering to strict safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial setting.
  • Universal card required.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Siemens.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license with no major infractions.
  • American Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance to work in a classified space.
  • Ability to rotate on-call and respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with municipal utility clients.
  • Trade school HVAC training or certificates.
  • Safe work practices.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

This position requires a substantial amount of time performing safety-sensitive labor or services, and passing a Fitness for Duty test is required to ensure candidates are physically and functionally fit to perform the essential physical work functions of this safety-sensitive position without posing a direct threat to the health or safety of themselves or others.

The physical and environmental demands of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance, and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing, and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, with loud noise, active machinery, high-pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
