Job Title: HVAC TechnicianJob Summary:In a safe and efficient manner, the HVAC Technician will perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot, and service commercial and industrial HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining ACU's, AHU's, heat pumps, VAV's, DDC's, and ventilation systems. The HVAC Technician will perform tests, rounds, and analysis of data to ensure equipment is functioning properly. Experience maintaining chillers, boilers, and kitchen equipment is a plus. Other duties include evaluating systems, providing recommendations, maintaining a clean working environment, and other various duties assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager, while adhering to all safety and health standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure efficient HVACR equipment maintenance according to established standards. Obtain, read, and comprehend sequence of operation of HVACR equipment/systems, controls schematics, blueprints, equipment service manuals, and/or owners/maintenance manuals for efficient daily duties.
- Maintain, install, troubleshoot, repair, monitor operation, and record readings of HVAC systems. Monitor BMS, check for refrigerant system operation efficiency, stop/start systems, operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment, and service gauges using best practice procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely equipment operating logs, lubrication logs, HVACR equipment operation and maintenance manuals, inventory of filters and belts and spare parts, air pressure drop differential logs across air filters and coils, refrigerant logbooks, chemical water treatment logs, and refrigerant inventory.
- Follow safety practices, utilize personal protective clothing and equipment as required by OSHA, and safely use hand tools, power tools, and test instruments to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various types of equipment.
- Analyze and determine the root cause of any HVACR system problems/malfunctions, inform appropriate parties, and take corrective action as needed.
- High school diploma. Certified 2-year HVAC technical certificate or state-approved HVAC license.
- HVAC experience working on industrial/commercial type HVAC equipment/systems as the scope requires.
- Must possess an EPA Universal Refrigeration License.
