About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at Jacobs. As a key member of our operations and maintenance services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our municipal clients' facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform HVAC planned and unplanned maintenance and repairs, working closely with our Building Engineer.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment and building automation controls.
  • Document work activities and other work-related tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Support our Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required by the scope of work.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience as an HVAC technician in a commercial setting.
  • Universal card required.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Building Automation Systems (BAS) such as Siemens.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A valid driver's license with no major infractions.
  • American Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance to work in a classified space.
  • Ability to rotate on-call and respond to emergencies within 30 minutes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with municipal utility clients.
  • Trade school HVAC training or certificates.
  • Safe work practices.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance, and agility demands, which may include the ability to stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing, and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery, high-pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, confined spaces, heights, and depths, fumes, airborne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals. The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory in these areas to prevent hazardous contact.
