At MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society, we are looking for a committed and patient-focused Pediatric Gastroenterology Physician Assistant or Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) to enhance our expanding services.

Position Overview:

  • Opportunity to advance in a specialized role within pediatric gastroenterology.
  • Standard working hours from Monday to Friday with no on-call or weekend responsibilities.
  • Manage an average of 6 to 10 patients daily.
  • Office-based position supporting a team of Pediatric GI Physicians.
  • Responsibilities include pre/post-procedure consultations, general pediatric GI appointments, and telehealth services, facilitating increased physician accessibility. Potential to transition into managing more complex cases over time.
  • Independent practice supported by a strong partnership with a local tertiary care facility offering comprehensive gastroenterology services.
  • Access to an extensive in-house diagnostic testing center.
  • Partnership plan for Advanced Practice Clinicians with ample opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications Required:

  • Master's degree in nursing with advanced physical assessment skills or a Bachelor's degree alongside a certificate from an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Current unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner/Advanced Practice Nurse.
  • Possession of state and federal Controlled Substance Registration.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience within the last three years in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in gastroenterology or related subspecialties.
  • Background in pediatric gastroenterology.
  • Experience in pediatric outpatient settings.
