Medical Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including vital signs, vision screening, and laboratory tests, as directed by physicians or nurses.
  • Assist physicians or other healthcare professionals with clinical procedures, exams, and office diagnostic procedures.
  • Prepare and process e-prescriptions for pharmacies, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Inspect, clean, and prepare medical instruments and equipment for use.
  • Process specimens for transport to laboratories, ensuring proper labeling and ordering.
Requirements:
  • Nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of employment.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in a medical office, clinic, or hospital setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with 1+ years of recent experience as a medical assistant.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
