We are looking for a highly skilled Healthcare Case Manager to join our team in Washington DC.
About Healthcare Legal Solutions, LLC:
We are a healthcare collections firm that provides denial management, consulting, and corporate collections services to hospitals and health systems. Our team is made up of professionals who are passionate about providing excellent service and creating a positive work environment.
Job Summary:
This role involves working with attorneys and paralegals to follow up on administrative appeals and documentation submitted to health insurers and governmental payers. You will also utilize proprietary software to research accounts in the work queue and determine action required to resolve underpayments.
Compensation: $45,000 salary+
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze accounts in the work queue using proprietary software.
- Determine action required to resolve underpayments and initiate that action.
- Prepare and submit well-written claims correspondence and related documents to insurers.
- Follow up on submitted appeals via phone calls.
Requirements:
- BA/BS with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Interest in healthcare and healthcare law.
- Navigate through various computer systems and applications.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Clear, concise, and logical writing style.
