We are seeking a confident and professional part-time Phlebotomist to support a study aimed at improving the health of various populations in New Jersey and across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome patients by greeting them and answering or referring inquiries.
  2. Verify patient information by interviewing the patient and reviewing medical history.
  3. Prepare for research visits by coordinating with the Clinical Research Team.
  4. Collect bloodwork, urine, and stool samples, and prepare laboratory specimens.
  5. Perform laboratory tests on the premises and dispose of contaminated supplies.
  6. Take vital signs and electrocardiograms.
  7. Complete records by documenting visit procedures and other relevant information.
  8. Educate patients by providing medication and diet information.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of prior phlebotomy experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience with specimen collection, preparation, and processing.
  • Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) with national recognized program.
  • IRB CITI Training with re-certification every 3 years.
  • Computer literacy with competence in Microsoft Office components.

Physical Demands:

Standing, sitting, walking, visual perception, talking, and hearing. Lifting up to 20lbs.
