Phlebotomy Technician

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I P/T to join our team at Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in collecting and processing patient specimens for laboratory testing. This is a part-time position working Thursday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM and Saturday 7:00AM-12:00PM.
Responsibilities:
Collect patient specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions as trained. Research test/client information and verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools. Accurately enter data and navigate a computer to perform tasks. Obtain identification and collect payments when required. Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport. Perform non-patient facing duties, such as inventory, stock supplies, sanitizing, filing, and answering phones. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data. Maintain phlebotomy logs in a timely manner. Complete online and in-person training courses as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington. One year phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Ability to effectively communicate in English required. Quest Diagnostics honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.
