Job Title: Fixed Income Trading Analyst

Join BBVA's Global Markets Trading team as a Fixed Income Trading Analyst and contribute to the strategic and financial goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist traders in the execution and reporting of Investment Grade bond trades
  • Produce profit and loss reports, maintain distribution statistics, and track trends
  • Act as backup trader as needed, monitoring risk positions, hedges, and ecommerce functionality
  • Prepare offering spreadsheets for clients as directed by sales and trading teams
  • Liaise with Sales, Syndicate, and DCM to share relevant data and trends
  • Work with research analysts to produce daily commentary and monthly outlook for distribution
  • Track improvements in ecommerce with the ecommerce team and assist in client onboarding
  • Collaborate with sales teams globally to facilitate dissemination of axes and information

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a business role
  • Undergraduate degree
  • Some exposure to the financial services industry
  • Experience with spreadsheets and/or trading systems (Bloomberg, ION, MUREX, TradeWeb, MarketAxess, etc.)
  • Employment eligibility to work with BBVA in the U.S.

Compensation:

The expected base salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
