Position Overview:

Acadia Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner to provide exceptional care in our behavioral health facilities. As a vital member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive medical evaluations and treatment to patients under the guidance of the Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and manage acute, chronic, or episodic health issues, either independently or collaboratively.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized Master Treatment Plans for patients.
  • Evaluate both physical and mental health conditions, implementing appropriate interventions to address patient needs.
  • Document clinical findings, evaluations, and treatment plans in accordance with facility protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Engage families in the treatment process, addressing their educational needs regarding patient care.
  • Adhere to legal standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements in all aspects of care.
  • Maintain compliance with state regulations governing Nurse Practitioners.
  • Participate in on-call duties as scheduled by the medical staff.
  • Focus on health promotion and disease prevention, including the ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Exhibit a compassionate and professional demeanor towards all patients, prioritizing their safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Relevant clinical experience with the facility's patient demographic, demonstrating knowledge of therapeutic techniques and crisis management.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
  • Must hold a valid nursing license in the state of practice.
  • Possession of a DEA license is required.
