Position Overview
As a Claims Assistance Coordinator II, you will play a vital role in providing support and administrative functions within our claims department. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
Your primary duties will include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of claims documentation and ensuring compliance with established protocols.
  • Providing inbound and outbound communication support, addressing customer inquiries and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Supporting claims personnel with various administrative tasks.
  • Training and mentoring new team members to foster a knowledgeable workforce.
  • Performing system-related tasks and assisting in troubleshooting system issues.
  • Greeting and directing visitors to the appropriate personnel.
  • Facilitating financial transactions in accordance with established guidelines.

Essential Functions
The aforementioned duties are critical to the role and must be performed to achieve job objectives. Additionally, employees are expected to adhere to any other job-related instructions and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, along with two years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or claims processing.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendar management software.
  • A typing speed of at least 40 words per minute and a data entry speed of 90 keystrokes per minute is preferred.
  • Experience in the insurance sector and completion of relevant coursework or designations is advantageous.
  • A valid driver's license is preferred.

Physical Requirements
Applicants should be able to meet the following physical demands:

  • Frequent lifting/moving of items weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Occasional lifting/moving of items weighing between 20-50 lbs.
  • Frequent manual data entry and computer use.
