Role Responsibilities

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for delivering exceptional, patient-focused care and overseeing all unit functions during their shift. Collaborating with the management team, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care according to established protocols, serves as a resource for staff, and embodies the organization's values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Facilitating admission and discharge processes to optimize patient flow and care quality.
  • Engaging in continuous assessment of patient care services alongside management.
  • Fostering a collaborative environment that enhances outcomes and service quality.
  • Championing a patient-first approach and addressing service recovery when necessary.
  • Implementing nursing strategies to improve staff engagement and patient care.
  • Contributing to the recruitment, training, and development of new staff.
  • Managing staff schedules and labor in alignment with patient care needs.
  • Overseeing inventory control and supply management.

Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
  • Current Registered Nurse license.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required.
