Industrial Sales at Morrell Group/Womack Group

You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and our trusted supplier partners. You will need to understand your customer's unique hydraulic system and overall motion control needs, then provide tailored solutions for expansion projects or to enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth and Account Development
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial sector to expand the customer base.
    • Develop and execute strategic plans to grow market share and increase revenue from existing accounts.
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential customers.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings and stay updated on advancements in industrial hydraulics and motion control technology.
    • Provide technical guidance and expertise to customers, ensuring they have a clear understanding of our products and their applications.
    • Be able to understand customers' current and future hydraulic system requirements.
    • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure accurate and effective solutions.
    • Utilize knowledge of Industrial Hydraulics to offer design suggestions to customers, draw schematics, and assemble accurate bills of materials.
  • Sales Strategy
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Sales Presentations
    • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to customers, showcasing the benefits and features of our industrial hydraulics products.
  • Quotation & Proposal Generation
    • Prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on customer requirements.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to create detailed proposals that meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Sales Reporting
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and project status within our CRM program.
    • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the management team and to trusted supplier partners.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in industrial sales, preferably in hydraulics or a related field.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial hydraulics systems and components.
  • Ability to design hydraulic schematics and bill of materials for customer solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial sales, with a demonstrated understanding of hydraulics and motion control products.
