Job Title: Security Guard

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team at Rowman & Littlefield. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our facility and its occupants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor security surveillance systems and respond to alarms as necessary.
  • Maintain security shift logs and conduct regular rounds to ensure the facility is secure.
  • Ensure all parameter doors and windows are closed and locked during rounds.
  • Call the local police department for security incidents requiring police assistance.
  • Call the local fire department in the event of a fire on the property or building.
Requirements:
  • Tact and diplomacy, with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity and honesty.
  • Prior security guard or police department related experience and/or training is preferred.
Working Conditions:
