Job Summary

The Human Resources Director at Chick-fil-A Dorchester Road is responsible for leading the recruitment, onboarding, and training efforts within the restaurant. This role collaborates with the Training Director and Chief People Officer to execute all HR initiatives, ensuring that all employees are equipped with the understanding and tools needed to perform duties in accordance with company policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Lead Team Member and Delivery Driver interviews
  • Facilitate Group Interviews
  • Collaborate with Training Director and Chief People Officer in selecting candidates
  • Participate in recruiting events

Onboarding

  • Send new hires offer letters and new hire paperwork
  • Run MVR background checks for new Delivery Drivers
  • Order and assemble all new hire uniforms, including name tags
  • Conduct Team Member Orientation class and Delivery Driver Orientation class
  • Add all new hires to payroll via HR Payroll
  • Set all new hires up on CFA Home
  • Set all new Team Members up on HotSchedules
  • Set all new Delivery Drivers up on FlexHourz
  • Add all new hires to Jolt
  • Add all new hires to appropriate Bands
  • Assign New Hire Orientation Pathways
  • Complete Employment verification (E-Verify)

Training

  • Set up all new hires on Pathway 2.0 during the onboarding process
  • Communicate with the Training Director when new Team Members and Delivery Drivers are ready to be assigned Pathway material and scheduled for training

Compliance

  • Track all employee truancies and attendance documentation
  • Track all employee Accountability Actions
  • Actively communicate employee status with restaurant leadership
  • Conduct break audits on a weekly basis
  • Consistently check the DEW (Department of Employment and Workforce) Website
  • Organize and properly dispose of prior year employee files, notes, and returned W2s at the offsite office

HR Payroll

  • Add all new Team Members and Delivery Drivers to HR Payroll upon completion of Orientation
  • Terminate former employees in HR Payroll and complete termination documentation via Jolt
  • Input pay raises and pay deductions for Team Members and Delivery Drivers upon a change in employment status, promotion, performance, etc.
  • Input child support/garnishment updates to the payroll

Birthdays & Anniversaries

  • Celebrate all Team Member and Delivery Driver birthdays and work anniversaries
  • Maintain inventory of birthday/anniversary cards, birthday cows, anniversary mugs, etc.

Other Duties

  • Maintain all forms under Company Services on the Employee Resource Center
  • Uniform ordering and uniform returns
  • Maintain HR email on a daily basis

Requirements

The HR Director must meet the following requirements:

  • Positive attitude
  • Exhibit the Core 4 with the Guest and team
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Core Values of the organization
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, or a relevant field
  • A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a similar role
  • Good understanding of the full recruitment and onboarding process
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid problem-solving and leadership abilities
  • Open availability, Monday - Saturday
  • Available to work up to 45 hours per week

Reporting Structure

The Human Resources Director reports directly to the Chief People Officer
