Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Youth Advocate to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing clinical leadership, case management, and psycho-social assessment to support the well-being and progress of transition age foster youth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Leadership: Provide guidance and support to a multi-disciplinary team consisting of youth, family members, county case managers, Employment and Education Specialists, Housing Specialists, and Intake Specialists to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Case Management: Develop and implement intervention strategies, gather information, and analyze data to ensure youth safety, well-being, and progress.
  • Direct Support: Provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, referrals, advocacy, and life skills training to empower youth in achieving their goals and launching adult lives from foster care.
  • Documentation and Administrative Duties: Complete documentation, including care and services plans, needs assessments, and progress notes, ensuring all necessary paperwork and consents are completed for each client at time of entry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or equivalent required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum four years of experience working in child welfare social services or with transition age youth with complex presentations.
  • Professional license a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, with strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Valid California driver's license, car insurance, and willingness to travel.

Estimated Salary Range: $53,720 - $67,150 per year, based on education and experience.
