Job Title: Principal Engineer Structural Analysis

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer Structural Analysis to join our team at Raytheon Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of structural analysis models and simulations to ensure the safety and reliability of our aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement finite element analysis (FEA) models and simulations to analyze structural behavior under various loads and conditions.
  • Lead a team of engineers in the development of structural analysis models and simulations, providing guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate structural analysis results into the overall design and development process.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including reports and presentations, to communicate analysis results and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in FEA and structural analysis, applying this knowledge to improve our analysis methods and tools.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in structural analysis, with a focus on FEA and simulation.
  • Proven experience leading teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong understanding of FEA software, including HyperMesh, MSC Patran, and LS-DYNA.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
