Position Overview

The Engineering Technician role at Bowhead involves providing specialized engineering support to complex projects. This position is critical for the assembly and integration of both military and commercial systems, including the modification of military platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute undersea sensor tasks that require a high degree of technical skill and adaptability.
  • Independently perform work that includes the construction and disassembly of undersea sensor components and systems.
  • Follow detailed layouts, procedures, and scientific diagrams to manage the assembly and packaging of equipment.
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical tests, requiring the ability to make minor adjustments to testing setups.
  • Gather and analyze engineering data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in design modifications by compiling relevant data and identifying areas for improvement.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent, along with at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred experience in supporting similar technical environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift weights ranging from 15 to 25 pounds.
  • Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, and squat as needed.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level, with preference given to those who already possess an Active Secret clearance. US Citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
