Overview

Position: Electrical Systems Technician

Bowhead / UIC Technical Services is seeking an Electrical Systems Technician to enhance our team. This role is crucial in supporting the Missile Lab Division at a prominent naval facility. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting and adhere to established protocols and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Systems Technician will utilize their expertise in electrical and electronic principles to:

  • Design, construct, repair, calibrate, and modify electrical components and systems.
  • Evaluate and prepare electrical circuitry and machinery for engineering assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering personnel to facilitate informed design decisions.

Required Qualifications

The candidate must possess:

  • An Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years in a power source laboratory environment.
  • Proficiency in interpreting schematics and technical drawings.
  • A strong background in electrical testing and equipment management, with a focus on environmental and mechanical testing.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills for interaction with diverse teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and sound judgment, capable of working independently or collaboratively.

Physical Requirements

The role demands:

  • The ability to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Flexibility to twist, bend, and squat as necessary.

Security Clearance

Candidates must be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is a prerequisite for this clearance.
