Job Title: Vice President of Preconstruction

As a key member of our leadership team, the Vice President of Preconstruction will be responsible for leading our preconstruction efforts, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement preconstruction strategies to drive business growth and improve project delivery
  • Lead a team of experienced preconstruction professionals to ensure seamless project execution
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, estimating, and project management, to ensure alignment and effective communication
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to drive business growth and improve project delivery
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager or director, including successful ongoing management of several direct reports
  • Proven success in managing preconstruction processes or major, complex projects
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to direct others and effectively offer solutions to overcome obstacles
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Thorough knowledge of the industry and different building systems
  • Ability to advise clients or procure appropriate consultant input on MEP Design and LEED Certification
  • Strong computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, Phoenix, Destini, On-Screen Takeoff, Quest Earthwork, and estimating software and technology
  • Highly developed communication skills, including listening, influence management, consensus development, and outstanding presentation skills
