Mission Support Services Inc is a leading provider of manufacturing and overhaul services to the aerospace industry. We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure technical data accuracy and supplier compliance.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Work with suppliers to enhance quality and delivery performance, including root-cause analysis and audits.
  • Participate in customer and supplier discussions to determine product specifications.
  • Assist the QA department in inspecting incoming parts and in-process assemblies.
  • Develop Quality Inspection plans for QA and Production departments to ensure product quality standards.
  • Implement NADCAP compliance for heat treat, NDI, plating, and welding processes with QA and Production teams.
  • Support the Production planner in in-house part manufacturing processes.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with legacy aircraft blueprints.
  • Understanding of aerospace sheet metal forming processes.
  • Knowledge of precision machining, including lathe and mill operations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing processes at the shop floor level, GD&T, and precision measuring gauges.
  • Experience in aerospace QA inspection or relevant industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 / AS9100 standards.
  • BSME, ASQ, CQE, or trade school certification in CAD design and/or aerospace engineering experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD programs such as Mastercam, Verisurf, NX/Unigraphics, MBD, Pro Engineer, AutoCAD, Polyworks, or Solidworks.
