Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Facilities Engineer Level 5 to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our facilities engineering team, you will be responsible for the design and construction oversight of mechanical systems at various Northrop Grumman facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and oversee the installation of mechanical systems, including plumbing, HVAC, and building operational control systems.
  • Plan and coordinate with architecture/engineering firms to develop design criteria and prepare layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepare bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition.
  • Review and estimate design costs, including equipment, installation, labor, materials, and other related costs.
  • Inspect or direct the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of Engineering experience in Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Engineering, Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, or Control Engineering.
  • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
