Job Summary

ES3 is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Mechanical Systems/Wheels/Brakes Design and Analysis Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of mechanical engineering functions, including reliability/maintainability data analysis, risk assessments, new designs, redesigns, CAD modeling and drawing development, prototyping, aircraft system level requirements analysis, test fixture development, and airworthiness certification on various military platforms.

This is a multi-faceted position that requires a variety of engineering skills and offers an opportunity to be at the cutting edge of design and analysis techniques. You will be surrounded by experts in their fields who consistently impact aerospace engineering projects that surpass industry norms.

We are looking for a candidate who is a good problem solver, self-motivated, and able to work well in a team-oriented environment. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment, modern work facilities, and flexible schedules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform mechanical engineering functions, including reliability/maintainability data analysis, risk assessments, new designs, redesigns, CAD modeling and drawing development, prototyping, aircraft system level requirements analysis, test fixture development, and airworthiness certification
  • Work with a team of experts to design and develop new systems and technologies
  • Conduct trade studies and determine interface requirements
  • Design modifications to enable new components to interface with existing systems
  • Develop test fixtures and conduct testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 0-15 years of experience in aerospace/mechanical design/analysis or related field
  • Proficient in CAD modeling and SolidWorks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel as required (less than 20%)
