Position Overview
The Engineering Manager is responsible for guiding a skilled team of engineers, leveraging their expertise to ensure the successful development and timely delivery of projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead innovative research and development initiatives to create new designs, products, and processes.
  • Ensure all work is checked for technical accuracy.
  • Facilitate coordination between various managers and team members.
  • Oversee the mechanical and structural 3D design aspects of complex mobile equipment.
  • Review and authorize all final designs and drawings produced in Inventor.
  • Participate in weekly management meetings to review project statuses.
  • Conduct research and develop new designs and products.
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including datasheets, BOMs, and drawings.
  • Identify training needs and foster talent development within the team.
  • Recruit contractors and assemble effective teams.
  • Ensure that products receive necessary support from upper management.
  • Provide clear and concise guidance to engineering teams.
  • Manage the New Product Design process.
  • Oversee all BOMs related to both existing and new designs.
  • Engage in technical writing and produce detailed fabrication instructions.
  • Handle Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and calculate material requirements.
  • Conduct prototyping, product testing, and redesign as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Engineering Manager or in a comparable role.
  • Strong analytical skills for thorough evaluation of information and problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills for managing staff and collaborating with other management personnel.
  • Attention to detail to identify minor errors that could lead to significant issues.
  • Proficient in mathematics, including calculus and advanced mathematical concepts.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing multiple budgets, employees, and schedules concurrently.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications in Engineering Management.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems.
  • Experience in industrial combustion.
  • Knowledge of PLC automation.
