Key Responsibilities- Safety and Clinical Excellence
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and maintain Magnet status by aligning with the American Nurses Association's standards of practice.
- Develop and implement an annual Nursing Quality plan to achieve top decile/quartile results for nursing clinical data benchmarked at the national level.
- Support staff in participation of quality improvement activities and promote evidence-based practice through clinical guidelines, pathways, and policies.
- Assist and support staff in developing and maintaining competency through orientation, internships, educational offerings, and self-directed learning.

- Manage the recruitment and selection of high-quality staff and maintain adequate staffing and appropriate work assignments.

- Participate in budget planning in collaboration with the CNE and advocate for appropriate fiscal and human resources to accomplish the work and goals of the nursing department.
- Monitor unit productivity levels and workforce design to ensure proper resource utilization and role delineation and identify areas for improved operational efficiency and involve staff in the development of new processes as appropriate.
- Ensure appropriate use of IS systems to monitor trends and analyze monthly financial, operational, and budget variance reports to assure that financial goals are achieved. Initiate cost containment activities.

- Nurse, Registered (RN)
- 3-5 years progressive leadership experience
- Master's degree in nursing
