Texas Children's Hospital in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced physician with a proven clinical and leadership track record to serve as the Attending CV Anesthesiologist.
The Department of Anesthesiology at Texas Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas is looking for an exceptional provider to serve as a CV Anesthesiologist, within the highly respected Department of Anesthesiology.
We are set to open a new state-of-the-art full-service hospital in Austin, increasing access to quality healthcare for children and women across central Texas. Join our team expanding our standard of care for families across the state. This position is a rare opportunity to participate in the start, growth, and expansion of a BRAND-NEW medical facility and campus aimed to serve the growing population of Austin, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, support quality and safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and serve at a clinical, leader, and administrative capacity within the division.
- Oversee the opening and growth of the facility.
- Provide patients with choice in selecting pain management techniques.
- Flexibility in working General Anesthesia when there are no cardiac or Cath Lab procedures.
- Provide care to children undergoing the full spectrum of surgical procedures to palliate or correct congenital heart defects.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the management of a growing group of Anesthesiologists.
- An academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired given TCH's affiliation with Baylor. However, this is NOT required for this position.
- The ideal candidate will have a pioneer-like spirit that is flexible and comfortable with the challenges of starting and ramping up a new facility.
- Applicants must have a Medical School Degree, Residency in Anesthesiology, Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiology, and be Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
- The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active Texas medical license.
