Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute commercial portfolio growth strategies to achieve loan and deposit growth, member engagement, relationship profitability, and portfolio quality.
  • Lead a team of commercial professionals to include recruiting, mentoring, developing individual skills, managing performance, and ensuring a positive culture experience.
  • Collaborate with credit and operations teams to ensure effective sales process execution and build a strong culture within the commercial banking team.
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership with branches and other business lines within the credit union to result in referrals and an enhanced member experience.
  • Serve as a voting member of the Commercial Loan Committee, exercising sound credit judgment and participating in discussions that lead to appropriate outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10 years of diversified commercial lending experience, including both business development and credit with C&I, CRE, and construction/development knowledge.
  • Leadership experience, including 7+ years managing lenders and/or general bank management.
  • Experience with Commercial Banking products and services, including loans of all types, treasury management, private banking, etc.
  • Indepth knowledge of credit and ability to properly underwrite and structure commercial loans.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with CRM software, such as SalesForce.
  • Experience originating loans using SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs.
