Job Summary

The Director, Commercial Banking is a key leadership role responsible for driving commercial portfolio growth strategies, delivering exceptional client experiences, and leading high-performing teams to support the credit union's focus on serving businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute commercial sales strategies to achieve loan and deposit growth, member engagement, relationship profitability, and portfolio quality goals.
  • Lead a team of commercial professionals, including recruiting, mentoring, developing individual skills, managing performance, and fostering a positive culture.
  • Collaborate with credit and operations teams to ensure effective sales process execution and build a strong culture within commercial banking.
  • Consult with business members, leveraging in-depth knowledge of credit and business loan structures to produce high-quality loans and manage relationships with borrowers.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with branches and other business lines within the credit union to drive referrals and enhance the member experience.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 10 years of diversified commercial lending experience, including business development and credit, with C&I, CRE, and construction/development knowledge.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing lenders and/or general bank management.
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services, including loans of all types, treasury management, private banking, etc.
  • Ability to effectively lead a professional team, communicate effectively, and prepare reports and KPIs.
