Job Summary:

Temple University Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and laboratory results, to inform diagnosis and treatment decisions.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed, in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in a relevant specialty area (e.g., Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an acute care setting, preferably in the Emergency Department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
