As an Electrical Outside Sales Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to promote Dakota Supply's products and services to contractors and industrial clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction to foster robust business relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel within a designated area to establish and maintain strong customer relationships by delivering outstanding service.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales Associates to identify and implement strategies aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and driving territory growth.
  • Identify and pursue new customer opportunities and accounts.
  • Introduce and demonstrate new products and marketing initiatives.
  • Communicate with management regarding changes in product demand.
  • Facilitate the customer ordering process, addressing inquiries related to orders and returns, and suggesting improvements to streamline operations.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a postsecondary degree is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Product and technical knowledge typically gained through two or more years of college or technical school, or 3-5 years of relevant field experience.
  • Proven sales skills with a successful track record in territory development.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.
  • Familiarity with electrical software and programs to assist customers with designs and rebates.
  • Understanding of Dakota Supply Web Commerce and the ability to guide customers in its use.
  • Excellent time management capabilities.
