Role Summary:
The Senior Paralegal position, reporting directly to the Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary, encompasses a broad spectrum of legal functions. Responsibilities include contract evaluation and drafting, legal research, compliance training, annual report submissions, and litigation assistance. The successful candidate will be expected to perform all duties with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism while promoting a cooperative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze, and finalize Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) for clients and suppliers
- Manage business contracts with clients and suppliers
- Conduct thorough research on applicable laws and regulations
- Oversee corporate governance issues
- Facilitate legal and compliance training sessions
- Maintain and update the contract management database
- Assist with trademark and patent renewal processes
- Monitor and manage legal vendor billing and payments
- Provide support to external counsel in litigation matters
- Handle customer compliance certification processes
- Organize and maintain departmental files and records
- Offer litigation support as required
- Respond to inquiries regarding Certificates of Insurance
- Assist the General Counsel with various administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Expertise in contract management practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
- At least 10 years of experience as an in-house corporate paralegal
- Capability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel applications
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
