About the Job

We are a well-established, reputable heating and air conditioning company in Central New York, seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service to our residential and light commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Routine Maintenance and Repairs: Ensure the smooth operation of our clients' HVAC systems by performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Identify and Diagnose Issues: Use your expertise to identify and diagnose problems with HVAC systems, and implement effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize Hand and Power Tools: Familiarize yourself with our hand and power tools, and use them to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Manufacturer Products: Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer products, including installation and repair procedures.
  • Complete Paperwork: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork associated with maintenance and repairs.
  • On-Call Rotation: Participate in our on-call rotation, providing emergency service to our clients as needed.
Requirements
  • Team Player: Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well with others.
  • HVAC Experience: Possess a strong understanding of HVAC systems, with relevant field experience.
  • Installation and Repair Skills: Be able to install and repair HVAC systems and components.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Possess a strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and system literature.
  • Personal Tools: Own and maintain a set of personal tools, as required for the job.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, with strong communication skills.
  • Responsibility: Demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibility, and take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Appearance: Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer competitive hourly pay, plus commission, based on skills and experience. Normal business hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with rotating weeknights and weekends on-call duties. We also provide health care after a 60-day probationary period, an IRA, and paid holidays.
