About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington DC. As a Surgical Technologist II, you will possess advanced knowledge of surgical techniques and be able to anticipate the required instrumentation for each step of a surgical procedure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a resource person for specialty cases and demonstrate working knowledge of specialty equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Provide education and training to new staff members.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Associate degree in Allied Health or equivalent combination of education and clinical experience.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
  • Certification in specialty as Surgical Technologist required.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
Work Environment:

Full-Time, 7a - 3:30p. Call and weekends may be required depending on staffing vacancies and vacations.
