We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Florida Vision Institute. Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting and Check-in: Welcome patients and visitors to our clinic, ensuring a positive and professional first impression.
  • Administrative Support: Manage appointment schedules, verify patient demographics and insurance information, and update records as necessary.
  • Insurance and Billing: Confirm insurance eligibility, verify active and participating coverage, and accurately calculate and collect patient copayments, deductibles, and due balances.
  • Communication: Professionally assist doctors, staff, patients, and visitors, maintaining confidentiality of all sensitive information.
  • Office Maintenance: Keep the reception area clean and organized, and assist with maintaining proper inventory levels of retail items.
  • Phone and Email Support: Answer inbound and outbound phone calls, and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One or more years of experience working in a medical practice preferred.
  • Skills: Compassionate and able to establish confidence and trust with patients, highly energetic with a positive attitude, attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to perform as part of a team.
