Internship Opportunity at HBK CPAs & Consultants

We are a dynamic and growing Top 50 accounting firm, seeking capable and dedicated professionals to join our team. Our firm provides a unique opportunity for interns to gain hands-on experience in tax preparation, tax research, and public accounting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a week-long 1040 Tax Training Program
  • Contribute to the firm by providing timely and high-quality work products
  • Work closely with all levels of HBK team members and have many of the same responsibilities as a first-year associate
  • Gain hands-on training on how to prepare tax returns (individual and corporate)
  • Gain a better understanding of how public accounting firms operate
  • Improve your communication and interpersonal skills
  • Gain knowledge on what it takes to be a successful public accountant
  • Gain an understanding of how to work and meet demanding deadlines
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Must be Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status majoring in accounting
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Should have completed Intermediate accounting course and a minimum of one tax class
  • Excellent computer skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Must pass an employment background check

Upon successful completion of the internship, students may be presented with a verbal offer for a second internship (juniors), or with a full-time offer of employment (seniors) followed by a formal written offer letter.
