Language World Services, Inc. is a premier provider of language solutions, dedicated to enhancing communication and cultural understanding. With over two decades of experience, we empower our clients and the Limited-English Community by facilitating effective communication. Our interpreters play a crucial role in bridging the gap between healthcare providers and patients who have limited or no proficiency in English. Services are provided through video phone technology to a diverse client base across the nation.

We are currently seeking skilled Spanish Interpreters to join our modern call center, which features spacious workstations and comfortable lounge areas for relaxation.

This is a full-time position; the work schedule is Monday - Friday, with shifts from 7 am - 4 pm or 8 am - 5 pm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quickly comprehend and convey ideas spoken in Spanish, ensuring accuracy and adherence to the speaker's intent.
  • Provide cultural context as needed to enhance understanding between parties.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to internet connectivity, phone systems, and headsets.
  • Document client interactions and technical challenges as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to clients.
  • Meet productivity expectations consistently.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Native fluency in Spanish.
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in both English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy in both languages.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen effectively and ask clarifying questions.
  • Successful completion of pre-screening tests, background checks, and drug screenings.
  • Ability to engage professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Exhibit professionalism and ethical behavior at all times.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completion of 40 hours of interpreting training.
  • Prior professional interpreting experience.
  • Comfortable using technology and the internet.
  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher preferred) or relevant educational experience.
  • Must achieve written and oral national certification (CCHI) within 12 months of hire.
  • Availability during business hours is required.
