Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Operations Manager to join our team at KLM Careers. As a key member of our landscape construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination of field staffing, project planning, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Coordination: Coordinate field staffing for all projects, including recruitment, selection, and hiring activities.
- Project Planning: Study and understand plans for each project under construction, ensuring accurate installation and adherence to specifications.
- Site Management: Attend pre-job walks and multi-weekly visits to each job site, verifying correct installation and adherence to plans and specifications.
- Documentation and Reporting: Complete timely and accurate written documentation of extras and collection of all approved paperwork, monitoring job cost reports weekly.
- Leadership and Management: Implement and exceed current company policy, systems, and procedures of all Field Operations, Safety, Quality Control, and Technical Training Programs.
- Leadership: Establish positive relationships and maintain ongoing communication with clients and KLM Careers management/departments.
- Management: Conduct bi-weekly Foreman meetings, train and evaluate assigned Foremen, and ensure that all new employees are trained on proper KLM Careers policies and procedures.
- Safety Policies: Ensure that all KLM Careers safety policies and OSHA regulations are met, and high levels of productivity and quality are performed at all times.
- Employee Safety: Immediately report any employee injuries to Human Resources and/or Safety Officer, enforcing all field employees to wear appropriate uniform and PPEs for job functions.
- Education and Experience: 10+ years of commercial landscape construction related experience, valid driver's license, demonstrated leadership/management experience, and PW experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Ability to work a flexible schedule, read, interpret, and follow construction plans, understand and carry out instructions, establish and maintain effective working relationships, and speak English/Spanish.
