Position Summary: The Quality Technician is responsible for overseeing quality assurance activities related to industrial processes, materials, and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analyses, inspections, and tests to ensure product quality, including incoming inspections and first/last piece evaluations.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) techniques to assess and enhance current processes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance activities in accordance with company policies.
  • Actively contribute to minimizing failure costs, such as scrap and rework.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing quality assurance involvement and outcomes.
  • Document sorting orders for defective materials and collaborate with the Supplier Quality Engineering team.
  • Lead technical and administrative personnel engaged in quality assurance tasks.
  • Stay informed about relevant government, customer, and industry quality assurance standards.
  • Exercise authority to halt production in the event of non-conformities.
  • Support production teams in addressing quality issues related to suppliers or processes.
  • Manage the storage and flow of nonconforming materials.
  • Ensure high-quality product assembly while meeting all SQDC targets.
  • Apply problem-solving methodologies to resolve ongoing shop floor issues.
Qualifications:

Associate's degree or two years of relevant experience or training, or a combination of education and experience.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in database software, MS Office, SAP quality module, and various testing equipment is essential. Ability to interpret technical drawings is also required.
