Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist I is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. This role requires a strong foundation in evidence-based practices, patient education, and skilled interventions to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to analyze their communication and oral motor skills.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, patient goals, and individual needs.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, home exercises, and self-management techniques to improve recovery outcomes.
• Monitor and document patients' progress, treatment outcomes, and responses to interventions to adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement discharge plans and recommendations for continued care.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligibility to receive it through a Clinical Fellowship Year.
• Licensed by the North Carolina Board for Speech Pathologists and Audiologists during their Supervised Experience Year.
• BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
