Position Summary: The Facilities Operations Supervisor is tasked with managing all installation, repair, and maintenance activities within the organization’s facilities. This role ensures that all employees have access to the necessary physical resources to perform their duties efficiently while adhering to budgetary constraints. A thorough understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and other trades is essential.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of engineering and mechanical principles, along with strong organizational and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct all maintenance activities and procedures
  • Ensure that all equipment operates at optimal standards
  • Evaluate existing maintenance processes to enhance efficiency
  • Adopt a proactive management approach
  • Utilize data analysis to anticipate and mitigate future issues
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce breakdowns and repairs, including quality checks of machinery and tools
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and provide daily activity reports
  • Identify problem areas and formulate actionable plans for repairs
  • Supervise and coordinate repairs of equipment, machinery, and facilities
  • Train new staff on maintenance procedures and protocols
  • Foster a work environment prioritizing safety
  • Conduct employee evaluations to ensure high-quality performance
  • Track daily progress and error reports
  • Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ordering materials as necessary
  • Create and manage maintenance budgets
  • Enforce health and safety regulations in compliance with state and federal laws.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a maintenance management capacity
  • In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Proficient in tracking and reporting maintenance activities
  • Experience in planning and executing maintenance operations
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management capabilities
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships with team members
  • Competent in problem-solving, team building, and decision-making
  • Extensive knowledge of various mechanical systems
  • Prior managerial experience is highly desirable
  • Experience in managing multiple vendors
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships consistently
  • Capable of handling both administrative and mechanical responsibilities effectively
  • Prioritizes safety at all times
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite and data analysis software.
