THE ROLE

The Production/Warehouse division at BSN SPORTS is in search of a dynamic and collaborative Team Supervisor in Grand Prairie, TX.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION:

As an integral member of the Production/Warehouse division, the Team Supervisor plays a vital role in troubleshooting challenges and assisting our Operations team in overcoming obstacles to achieve operational excellence, focusing on key performance indicators in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Productivity.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure a safe, healthy, and inclusive working environment that promotes a Lean culture for all team members.
  • Engage with team members to address issues and meet daily goals related to productivity, quality, and delivery.
  • Act as a champion for the department's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), providing coaching and training to team members.
  • Collaborate to identify the most efficient processes and recommend enhancements where necessary; encourage team members to share their insights.
  • Work towards ensuring that team members are well-rounded and cross-trained in various functions both within and outside the department.
  • Identify and mediate minor conflicts within the department; collaborate closely with Supervisors/Managers to address larger issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A strong desire for personal and professional growth.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with active listening abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Proficient in computer usage, particularly with Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Willingness to adapt to varying shifts to support operational needs.
  • A knack for problem-solving through both conventional and innovative approaches.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED, along with 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements outlined here are representative of those that must be fulfilled by a team member to successfully execute the essential functions of this position. Regularly, the team member is required to stand for extended periods and engage in repetitive movements. The role necessitates the ability to lift weights ranging from 15 to 35 lbs. consistently and endure working in a non-climate-controlled setting.
